Chris Pascua (right) also fishes from his kayak. He says, "The head on this beast was like a bowling ball...A monster cabezon I caught this weekend kayak fishing!" Chris caught this monster with a Been There Caught That 10 inch pink Sea Sluggo.
Our Mermaid Belinda (below, left) did not catch her Lingcod (Ophiodon elongatus) from a Kayak, but from a party boat out at La Purisima. Says Belinda, "He was 'hitchhiking' on one of the two fish I had on. Weighed 12.45#'s." Congratulations, Belinda!

Angler Josh Sims (below, right) displays his 15.4 lb. Ling, caught on a Been There Caught That 9 inch white Sea Sluggo rigged with a 4oz white lead head.

How to Use Your Smart Phone to Avoid Going Over any MPAs (Marine Protected Areas) by Accident
Go to http://dfg.ca.gov/m/MPA/Map, and you will find these directions: Enabling location services will identify your location in relationship to MPAs, but is not necessary to use this map.
For iPhone or iPad users, go to the main screen and open Settings → General → Location Services and turn it on. Then scroll to the Safari application (if available) and turn it on. If Safari is not listed, you do not need to do anything else.
For Android users, navigate to Menu → Settings → Enable Location and turn it on.
Notes Currently this map application works best in the iPhone, iPad or Android devices.
Touch panning and zooming are not available on many devices. After starting the map, click the gear icon then expand the settings panel. You can then enable pan buttons for the map.
Blackberry devices older than the Torch probably will not work at all. Newer devices may work to some extent.
Who Are We?
We are a company of professional and dedicated anglers who want to
help everyone achieve their fishing goals.
Since we are located on the Central California Coast, we have the finest selection of saltwater gear that includes some of the biggest names in fishing, as well as some of the finest custom rods ever made.
We do our best to provide you access to the products that will help you catch the catch of a lifetime. We make use of all of our personal experiences, as well as the experience of those who have become part of our community of fishermen and women.
We have the valuable input and help from Louis Fernandes, who managed to place third in the FLW on the California Delta his first year as a pro! He helps us choose the best of the bass gear for us to carry for you. We are proud to sponsor this fine young man in his endeavors as a professional bass tournament fisherman.
We are constantly seeking new ways and new gear that makes fishing more fun, increases your catch, and makes you more comfortable and capable of achieving your fishing goals.
We believe that the family that fishes together, stays together, and passes on a wonderful legacy of sharing, patience, and developing many of the necessary skills that not only aid all of us in fishing, but in life as well.
We support many charities and organizations, as well as events, on the California Central Coast. We will be bringing you more information as we continue to expand this site.
We also welcome your comments and suggestions, so feel free to send them to comments@BeenThereCaughtThat.com
Please enjoy your time with us, and feel free to join our group of anglers who want to help you become one of the few anglers who catch most of the fish.
Thanks again for checking us out, and have fun on our site!
